errrr... none of them.
the place i can mostly be found (about once a week) is a local Norwich pub venue The Ferryboat Inn www.ferryboat-inn.co.uk i love it... friendly atmosphere, i cant ever go there without seeing 3 or 4 people i know, i can see both mates bands and most of my favourite bands, can talk to band members and sit and have a chat in the garden by the river... i couldnt imagine a better venue.
other slightly larger venues ive been impressed with are Nottingham Rescue rooms and Liverpool Carling academy. both has excellent sound and a good set up, as well as a good atmosphere.
the only one on that list i have been too is birmingham NIA which seriously lacked atmosphere and intensity.

Didn't we have this poll already?
"You and Wilson have my skills, Mr Hayden. In return, I received a taste for Radiohead and an encyclopedic knowledge of pornographic knock-knock jokes. Yes, I'd like to switch back if possible"

Bristol Colston hall. Iv'e seen many, many bands there... from Hawkwind to Diamond Head to Dumpys Rusty Nuts to Motorhead to Iron Maiden to Judas Priest to Saxon...The list goes on and on. Its a scruffy old place (or used to be - I havnt been to a live gig in years. Not counting pub bands, natch) but the atmosphere was always electric. I find that its the atmos and not the venue that counts. This becomes obvious at festivals. A band will come on and will be flat then the next appears and the whole crowd is jumping. And I'm not talking famous bands either.
. Also the Granary in Bristol was a beaut of a venue. Its closed now, though. Shame.
