Foo Fighters are one of today's biggest bands, and one of my favourite.

One of mine, too, angus. Grohl's done well for himself after Nirvana dont you recon? I bought 'In Your Honour' a few weeks ago but haven't totally got into it yet. The ballad album was listened to once but I'll doubt I'll play that much. I prefer their louder stuff. Its nice to know that they respect the fans enough to thank us in album form, tho'.
And their video's always kill me. Probably the best I've seen is 'Learn to Fly' but the one with Jack Black (they are both dressed as rednecks) comes close. I just wish I wasn't so senile that I've forgotten the track its attatched to :)

i used to be a big fan of the foos, and don't get me wrong, they still rock, but as your tastes develop and you move away from the mainstream, you realise that the foos really are wedged there, and the more they refuse to experiment and move out of it; and that kind of gets annoying. The music they're making now sells, and sells masses, and definitely if they did try anything unmainstream they'd piss off a lot of their fans, so I don't really blame them. But the foos really aren't a band that are making music that excites me. It's good, it's listenable, but it's not arousing much of my interest.

All that to say their last album wasn't much; CD2 was pointless, there's a lot of better artists doing acoustic stuff around there. CD1 has a few good tunes, I don't really like Best Of You, but End Over End is great and a few of the other songs must be fucking amazing live

fave album, and i'll probably get flamed for this, is One By One, mainly coz I'm not sure which of their other songs are on which albums, because i got the other 3 around the same time

Definitely hope the foos make the rumoured surprise appearance at the QOTSA gig on tuesday though, that would be fucking awesome - I'm sure they're a wicked live band

The Colour and the Shape for sure, it had so many foo classics like Hey! Johnny Park and Everlong.

Colour and shape, has Everlong in it, it's probably my fav foo fighters song.
