1) Van Halen, 1998, Toronto - Canada
For me, Gary Cherone was the best VH vocalist on stage... he sang the DLR repertoire and the SH too (even "Humans Being") with soul, dedication and pride.
2) Pearl Jam, 1996, Cascais - Portugal
It's certain that Eddie Vedder is a stage monster and what he did in 1996 was unforgetable... diving from the top of the PA over the screaming crowd !!!
3) B.B. King, 1995, Lisboa - Portugal
The man's a show... he can hear/feel everything that's happening on stage and off stage and respond to it like few can.
4) Deep Purple, 2000, London - UK
It was by accident that I was in London the same day that Deep Purple performed with the London Symphony Orchestra; their performance was nothing short than amazing.
5) Paco de Lucia, 2004, Figueira da Foz - Portugal
Another gentleman that know too much; he can deliver brilliance and perfection playing but he can also hide and handle the spotlight to any of his band members.
I could go on forever... Metallica (2007), Smashing Pumpkins (2000), AC/DC (1997), etc.
I mentioned it in another post, but I'm really interested in watching Van Halen next month; the band's rehearshal occured over the weekend and they performed the full setlist:
