being blind would be well scary though - but i suspect they are more accepted into society, more cared for, anyway.

Losing either sense would be a MAJOR blow... both are extremely rich senses capable of producing strong emotions/feelings (like getting horny when you see a hot chick, or getting spaced out when you listen to stoner rock like QOTSA's "Autopilot")

at least if you're deaf you can have subtitles. if you're blind its much harder to enjoy tv.

you might think sight is an advantage, but the deaf guy presumably has all his other senses heightened, and could like hear his attacker, and is a guy. the girl would probably be over confident and this would be her downfall.

Being a bloke i have to say the girl would win cus the guy will try and act cool to impress her then fall over something. I do it and i aint blind. (not fight though - just to clarify that people).

cute...but if you're blind what the other person looks like isn't an issue, and its thus easier to find someone you like. and its probably pretty tricky to find someone really attractive when you're handicapped.

i'm not sure blind guys really act that tough most of the time, and its hard to be over-confident when you can't even see your opponent.

Deaf, because even contemplating not being able to see is terrifying. Visual stimuli are much more complex and informative than aural stimuli as well.

why has this thread been merged with the 'who would win in a fight' thread. i thought their emphases were on completely different aspects of disability and thus deserved to be separate subjects.
