Bradley stated that a thread should be started about this certain religion since me and phycotic wiccan seem to have a thing for it.

Okay, wicca is a neopagan religon that emerged from early witchcraft/pagan beliefs. It all started way back in the day in the middle ages, or the burning times, witchcraft dissapeared and the followers practiced at night. Then in the 1900s a new pagan religon emerged,(wicca) and has so many branch religons.
like there is alexandrian, dianic, geraldian, and many more. I myself practice a mix in dianic and alexandrian wicca. I worship "the lord and lady" who go by many different names, ulltimatly the horned god and the goddess. Wicca has nothing to do with the devil, just in case you was wandering. wiccans do not believe in heaven and hell, just reincarnation. wicca is just a natural earth religon, we celebrate the fact that the earth has so much unused energy that we can turn into something great! There is no sin in our religon just one rule:

Eight words the wiccan rede fulfill:
An harm ye none, do as ye will.

As long as it doesnt hurt anyone you can do it. oh yeah we cant use magick for bad reasons because anything we send out comes back to us three times good or bad!

I thought the whole 3x back on you was egyptian (with the whole when you point, three fingers point back at yourself thing)

the 3x rule is in alot of religions and is in all magick religons. We refrain from saying the whole, three fingers pointing back at you thing, we are a little more serious about it than that.

Yeah, that is what wicca is. It is a neopagan or otherwords occult religion. We have ceremonies where we light candles and incense, call the elements or the four corners, cast a circle and then do our magick

okay guys this is my favorite poem and it relates to the topic so :

Long ago and far away
we worked by night and hid by day

we could not in the open go
because the church did fear us so

they feared us for our power was true
because our magik they could not do

so they smiled with evil smirk
lets burn them all tis devils work

and burned they did and torture too
but we managed to come through

and so now our path is free
to worship lord and lady

we wont ever go away
we tell them all
we are here to stay!

actually, not really. Im not a goth, and alot of the female wiccans are not goths but alot of the male wiccans are. it really depends on the age range. alot of teenage male and female wiccans seem to think that gothic is the way you have to dress to be wiccan. the older wiccans seem to dress in a way society excepts so that people dont associate bad people with being wiccan. wiccans are always having ot explain the fact that our religon is not always what people think it is.

I think you all are thinking of the wrong kind of magick. Not like magic show card tricks with a wand. But magick with a book of shadows and an altar and the corners and incense, candles, athame, salt. and magick does work. It is what saved my brother (healing spell).

But *magic show card tricks with a wand* don't rely on magic, they rely on sleight of hand...

There's a reason why people don't believe in magick as you call it - its because there's no scientific basis for believing in it...you can believe that it saved your brother but I'm willing to bet a hefty sum that it was something else...

(btw if you're taking the piss then sorry if this is OTT)

Hey, believing in magick isn't that weird. There are plenty of things on other religions that have similar 'wacky' stuff in them, (eg transubstatiation - yeah, you are LITERALLY eating jesus) :P and then go and tell you you can't do x, y and z.

I have much more respect for beliefs that let you do pretty much what you want, allow you to live life to the fullest, etc

Also, don't get me wrong here, i think this whole magick thing is a big pile of poo, but whatever

Well yeh, believe what you want, but if something clearly goes against all science (without a deeper explanation - not that I'm religious) then as far as I'm concerned that's narrow-minded and not particularly helpful...but hey whatever floats ure boat i guess.

Noone would thnk that after they got to see what magick can do. the power of it. It is awesome. I mean what people see as tarot card readings, premonitions, scrying, all that is a form of magick. Even ouiji boards. And i know alot of christian people with no explanation of how it worked when they were playing around with a ouiji board. So i do think there is just as much evidence to prove my religion true as there is any other religion.

Erm, ok...

I wasn't aware there was any evidence for religion...
