Years ago back in the prime of the LA metal seen a band named Metallica featuring Lars Ulrich, James Hetfield, Cliff Burton, and Dave Mustaine, not Kirk Hammet, Dave Mustaine. O the Road before thier record deal they kicked Mustaine out of the band and recruited Kirk Hammet. Mustaine then created rival band Megadeth. I'm here to ask you who you think is better Metallica or Megadeth. Personally I'd choose Megadeth but I want to here what you have to say. <_<

Megadeth. i know a lot of megadeth fans are bitter about dave being kicked out of metallica, but i think dave's hatred for them drove him to want to be faster, louder, cleverer, and to make the best speed/thrash metal band EVER.

i think metallica have better albums when they were good (first four - although mustaine was on kill em all), but currently and for overall career its gotta be megadeth. Seen them both live twice and they are about even. Although one megadeth concert i went to was mindblowing, the other was average.

Didnt dave mustaine get kicked out for kicking james hetfield's dog?

On there way to record Kill 'EM All they kicked him out because when he was wasted he was violent, but I think it was because he out partied them all.

Metallica all the way, I fuckin hate Megadeath theyr songs sound like unfinished Metallica songs, Metallicas riffs, solos evrything r much much better than anything Megadeath have ever done

I'm glad Mustaine got kicked out - we would never have had Megadeth if he had stayed. Actually, I think that he would have left anyway. He had a big mouth (amongst the other big mouths in Metallica) and clashed badly with the other members. Also he seemed to go through band members in Megadeth as much as Josh Homme of QOTSA. I still cannot decide who are the best tho'. :rocksmilie:

Megadeth are / were better. Their older shit and their shit with Friedman was better than it is now. But their stuff now is still way better than metallica.

EDIT: megadeth do own metallica.
