As you may, or may not know, many people are applying for unis now, or in the near future, and being the disorganised person I am, have left this all far too late, so was wandering if any of you could give me advice on the unis (in the UK) I should apply to (i want to study economics and geography) and on writing my personal statement. It would be much appreciated

Personal statement's a bitch. I've done 200 words and am stuck. I've genuinely run out of things to say. It's at times like this that I wish I did more with my life. Fox ache.

As for finding a course, I used the Ucas website to find a few, haven't checked any of the uni's out yet though, might go on a coupla' roadtrips during half term to have a gander.

What's the character limit again? I think I've done about 1500...will have to check when I go to finish it though.

I've got loads of interests, but none of them have anything whatsoever to do with the course I'm applying for, and Uni people will look at them thinking 'so what if he enjoys playing football/music/touching himself, that's hardly unique'.

As for talking about a future career....meh.

i took a while to figure out what course i wanted to apply to, but from then on it was fairly easy going

my sister's doing her personal statement at the moment, so I've been helping out with that for the past week; anything in particular you need advice on?

apply to london its the place to be. my personal statement was just full of how enthusiastic i am about my subject and how my other A level subjects all complimented my choice and about how perfect my life is etc etc. i then rounded it off with some stuff about choir, rugby, ccf and chapel council/christian aid. my personal statement was badass. just do that.

I am glad we don't have do write a personal statemente here. I am on this stage too, in 2 weeks I'll know where I'll be (and what I'll be studying) in the next years. Most of my options are Engenieering, different areas.

Well, good luck to you all.

The advantage of Sussex is that it's right near Brighton, which is not only a great party town but also really good for gigs.

You take a course in which the academics are primarily priests. Priests have sex with children, primarily alter and choir boys. You were once a choir boy.

You do the maths.
