NO, i got your point - you are saying that god inspired people, and thereofre it is essentially god's word. What i'm saying is that the only reason you 'know' this is the word of god is becasue people tell you that it's the word of god. It's a circular argument and therefore not valid.

i like evolution. but i guess i would say that, studying animal biology. it makes sense, there are holes in the theory but every theory has some and the holes in evolution are much smaller and easier to fill than those in intelligent design

quite frankly, evolution is cruel and wasteful and inefficient. if there is a designer behind the way the world works i, for one, don't think it's anything worthy of worship.
actually, Mum, I wouldnt use that particular can of whipped cream if I were you...

oh, no reason.

There aren't that many holes in evolution. It's proven on a micro level and even proven within a species. The only holes lie in when one species becomes another, but really, it's only a matter of time before that becomes air tight. When you say holes in ID (I'm assuming you mean like 6-day creation), you mean the fact that not only is there no proof for it, but there's a silly amount of proof it's NOT true?

I don't get what you mean by evolution being wasteful and inefficient (I guess I can understand cruel a bit with the survival of the fittest thing, but you can't really assign morals to a scientific theory- it's like saying gravity is cruel for not letting us fly).
