now i know as soon as i start writing this that Helen is going to diss them...but what the heck. i quite like their new stuff, even though it is them selling out from their melodic hardcore/emo-core roots. i think they have a knack for a tune.

i would recommend the songs 'trashed and scattered' and 'unholy confessions'.

and hey! if you've never heard of them and aren't interested, you can at least laugh at their names:

i thought they werent bad when i saw them live 2 years ago (hadnt heard of them before hand) but when i heard their stuff on record i was put off very fast..

but there is a guy i know who is like totally obsessed with them... i think he's on the avenged sevenfold website.. i am! my name is nessie the dragon, but the site fucked up before i had time to post any thing.. how much of a bummer is that! And thanks for the recomendations

What's wrong with them being trendy? Surely u'd want success for a band u like? As long as they don't pander to the fans, i don't see a problem with it

They fuckin rule, but the singers emo is huge, he comes off as an arrogant twat in interveiws.

I can make a post about them if I want,and AVENGED SEVENFOLD... is getting feally trendy, go ask some body about them,and there reply is oh there the ones that sang "Bat Country", which bothers the hell out of me, sure im glad there getting alot of attention and stuff, but not the right kind of crowd, when you see gangsta rappahs walking down the street talking about bat counry M tv has gone too far...

avenged sevenfold's old stuff was better in my opinion. stuff like 'unholy confessions'. although i am partial to 'trashed and scattered' and 'the beast and the harlot' off the new album.
