im not gona go into detail but we seriously dont need another pope.

all this other dude did was cause millions of deaths and unwanted children due to him preaching about contraception. in many catholic or catholic-dominated areas in the third world, this has only spread AIDS and caused loads of women's deaths while giving birth to unwanted babies.

assuming this guy is celibate, he wouldnt know anything about sex, families, relationships etc so who the fuck is he to preach about abortion, divorce, gays and contraception? it makes no sense.

and while the media obsess about michael jackson, gay paedophilic priests are hidden and protected behind the walls of the vatican. 4,500 cases of child molestation by priests since 1950 in the US alone.

makes me sick.

And top top it all off, he looks so damn evil. I blame the eyebags. Let's face it, most of the people getting AIDs because of Catholism will be idiotic ignorant Catholics, so let them die if they want to be dumbasses. The people I feel sorry for are the non-Catholics who are raped or whatever.

And the fondling of the altar-boys, due to lack of SEX. It also makes them sick hypocritical freaks.

You can't blame the pope for the AIDS thing. Sure, he preaches anti-condoms, but he also preaches no sex before, or outside marriage, and if everyone followed that, I think it would have mmore of an effect than wearing a condom would do.

If someone gives a girl AIDS, they can hardly use the excuse that it's against their religion to wear a condom, when it's probably against their religion to be having sex in the first place

fully agree with shaggy i've been argueing with people about the same thing for a while and it's really not the pope's fault.

if they're gonna break some of the rules, they can't blame someone else for the others

i really dont think people are going to not have sex for religious reasons. humans are sexual beings.
andl in certain parts of africa catholics preach to the locals that condoms dont stop AIDS because the virus can get through microscopic holes in the rubber, and help is refused to those who used contraception.

Curtis, you're looking at it all wrong.. People are going to have sex no matter what, the least the Pope can do is make it "legal" for them to use condoms. Catholics will follow his lead on pety things like not using condoms, but since they're too hypocritical, they won't stop having sex no matter what he says. I'm assuming he's not an idiot and knows this. I doubt God would rather have people not use condoms and die than use condoms and live. Especially since it's based on soemthing as pety as a book written hundreds of years ago, that just has to be updated for the new era. I'm not blaming just the Pope. It's the mindless followers too.

I agree, It's not the pope's fault, it's the followers who want to pick and choose what parts they follow. I was simply defending the pope as this was what the topic was about. Christians are, as i've said many a time, one of the worst religous peoples in my opinion, but the pope himself i honestly believe in this case cannot be faulted

i don't believe the pope should be held responsible for preaching good morals, i don't understand the whole "every sperm is sacred" schpeel but it's a major factor of catholicism

the pope shouldn't have to change the structure of the religion to fit "lazy" catholics just because they follow the rules they find easy, ignore the ones they find hard and blame pope-man for anything which goes wrong

i mean if they have a problem with this and like sleeping around then maybe they should stop being catholics and join something like the church of england, after all that's why henry VIII founded it.

ok, firstly the Pope is 78 not 88, you cant be elected pope if you are over 80. And who cares if the Pope dies soon, i cant remeber anyone saying the Pope needed to last a long time.

Secondly, wat is your point ?

"life wouldnt be without sex"

I think everyone (Pope included) knows that! the Pope aint saying no sex, he is just saying have a bit of control! I would suggest some of you read Pope John Pauls theology of the body, but i know its a waste of time coz none of you will. I think if people actually took the time to find out about all or atleast more of the Popes techings they would understand alot more of what the Pope was trying to say, people focus on small secitions of his teachings, and with this limited view it is no suprise it all looks a bit ridiculous.

I also think the Pope needs to stick rigidly to the Chuches teachings - if he dosnt who will!?!?! I, being a young Catholic myself , definately do not agree with everything the Pope says or does, and the same goes for the mojority of us, this dosnt mean we would have it any other way though, its hard to explain, but i think its important we have such a strong base.

Having said all that Im not to keen on the new Pope, for one reason only, that being - he thinks rock music in the church is the work of satan. Rock music in the church has been probably the main reason my faith has become so strong over the last few years! Its given me a way to relate to a God i found otherwise distant, ive be able to find him through something i already loved. So i reckon the Pope needs to look up and realise how many young people have found a new faith in the church through this supposedly "satanic" form of worship.

anyhoo, i think alot of you need to actually read up on what your talkin about before you go around saying all that crap about the Pope being the reason behind a load of deaths. It realy isnt the case.

<3 xx
Keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you have been up to.
