recently when asked about tapping the phones of suspected terrorists,mr Bush replied"sure, my job is to protect the american people".judging from that statement alone you can tell he is there for HIS people which is his job,which is president.if only the same could be said for our illustrious leader

paddy, in that statement he justified putting wiretaps on peoples phones without going through the normal warrant-seeking procedure to protect CIVIL LIBERTIES, of all things.

what im saying is he doesnt care what other countries or a few bleeding heart liberals think,he will try and protect his people by any means possible.that is what he is sworn in to do and he will do it unflinchingly.i think that makes him a good pres,he stands up in front of the world and says these are my people,my responsibility and i will do whatever it takes to do the best for them and keep them safe,now thats a leader

It's got nothing to do with political correctness. Tapping peoples phonelines without a warrant is a breach of people's privacy, civil liberties, and the law - something else he swore to protect

I've got no problem with phone tapping, as long as it's done properly, rather than the government just tapping people without warrant or reason

Also, I've never heard of people being stopped from flying the St George flag. I remember last world cup the number of cars/houses adorned with them, so i dunno wtf ur on about there
