Mars Volta will tour the US as special guests of System of a Down.
Specific dates are yet to be locked in but Mars is confirmed for all shows.
"We're very excited about getting out on the road this summer," said System's vocalist Serj Tankian. "It's been a long time since we've done a major American tour, and with The Mars Volta on the bill, I think we're giving our fans a terrific show."
SOAD will release their 'Mezmerize' album on May 17. It is the first of two discs to be released this year. The second album 'Hypnotize' will be released later in the year.
