it used to be only clever people who could get into uni, but now with any old inbred yokel allowed to attend do you think it is time for qualifying levels to be raised,so that uni is a place for the intalectual elite. because lets face it,it is almost impossible to fail exams nowadays
na my case is rested as it is won, surely only a fool or a terrorist would go against my findings.tell me what the bitter taste of defeat is like, for i can taste only the sweetness of victory.abuse me more to your folly as it only strengthens my resolve, you weak inept cretinous pondlife

i will say no more on the matter until I see fit, rather like the lord of the manor throwing scraps to the uneducated peasants.now scurry away to your inadequate brothels of lower learning. for you cease to amuse me

I agree that it's impossible to fail, but still, you get good grades, you go to good uni, you get shit grades you end up at Luton Uni, you get shitter grades, you end up at McDonalds.

I failed Economics...still on course to get where I want to go though so it's all good. Is this thread aimed at anyone in particular....being from Plymouth I suppose I could be classed as an inbred yokel as such.

Did *you* go to Uni Paddy? I wouldn't class you as part of an intellectual elite is all. No offence intended like.

intalectual = booking a place at Luton fo' sho'

I think it's a ridiculous plan to try to get 50% of people to uni - the workplace simply doesn't need that many graduates and it leads to people going jobhunting with unrealistic expectations, having wasted 3 years when they could have been doing an apprenticeship or working their way up the career ladder.

well, now that I'm in, I'm fully in favour of exams getting fucking hard and for unis to ask for the marks, not the grades

keep people out of uni, keep them from coming after me job (once I get one, of course...)

*oh I'd rather be a leper than a tab*
(come on boys and girls, sing it with me)

seriously though, I don't know about the uni but the town is a real shithole of a place. v boring.
Oxford has the advantage of Oxford Brookes uni down the road, which significantly raises the standard of gals and live music compared to oxford uni on its own, or cambridge as it is today. mark my words: stay well clear of cambridge

Do you reckon the percentage of people who wear glasses are higher in Oxford/Cambridge than in other unis?

I'm not going to oxbridge, cos it seems really rubbish, doesn't my course, and isn't necessarily as good for the aspects of it anyway
