Hello everyone.

I have been searching for a specific song. I don't know the name of the song or the artist. I know some fragments of lyrics and places where the song was featured...But that's it. I've searched all over the web in lyric databses and search engines to no avail.

If you know your music, Please help me identify this song.

The song has been featured in numerous tv shows and movies including...

Zoolander-Played when Zoolander is in japan running from the girls.

King of the hill(Episode:Reborn to be wild)-Played at the first of the episode when Bobby is in his room dancing to rock music.

Smallville(Episode:Crush)-Played during the elevator scene at the start of the episode.

X-men Evolution(Promo song played)-The song had been changed slightly to fit the topic of the tv show. For instance "My way is the way it's going to be" was changed to "Mutation is the way it's going to be".

Before you say it..Yes i've searched the credits and soundtracks and songlistings for ALL of these tv shows and movies and found nothing. For some reason the song is never mentioned. It isn't mentioned in the zoolander credits,King of the hill credits,Isn't mentioned on any smallville websites that have songs featured on smallville,Isn't mentioned on any X-men evolution websites either.

Some lyric fragments include...

Quote

My way is the way it's going to be.

Quote

We're going off, We're going off and i'm going off too!

Quote

Little green people coming form the sky.

These lyrics might not be exact also because all attempts on my part to search for them on the internet over the past few years have failed. And believe me...I've searched everywhere.

So the only way anyone will be able to answer this question is if they already know the song and the band and can recognize the lyrics.

Alternativly if anyone is a Smallville fan and has the episode downloaded or has the DVD, They could simply listen to the song on the "Crush" episode during season 1 and possibly recognize and identify it that way.

Or if they have the Zoolander dvd they could skip to the award presentation part and hear the song playing when Zoolander is running away from the japanese girls.

Either way. If anyone can help. Please PLEASE help.

:P

As I stated(Twice)..It isn't on any of the soundtracks or credits or songlists of any of the movies/tv shows i've listed.

"That's why he suggested it"? This makes no sense. He suggested it because I've already done it?

Good to see irony isn't lost on some people.

With lyrics about green men coming down from the sky i'd say it is best left unfound.

frankly, I've researched this as much as I could, and not a single song is common to the episodes you've listed (i mean no song in zoolander is in kinf of the hill, and none of those are in smallville)

I think we could be getting on the right track here. Could it have been one of those really vivid dreams you get after 3 or 4 days on the beer and you don't know did it happen or was it a dream?

Think it might be somethign by Rob Zombie or somthign based on the Smallville episode alone, I'll update in a bit.

Narrowed it down to two songs which it's probably one off

40 to 5 by Leave The World
Nothing To Do by Bottlefly

That's based on the Smallville episode only though. I tried :-(.

It's not just on smallville. The same exact song was on Zoolander and King of the Hill(one episode).

Also it's neither of those 2 songs you listed. Whatever the name of the song is..It isn't listed on any of the sites that feature songs played on smallville.

Both of those bands you've listed "Leave the world" and "Bottlefly" don't sing the song. I found the lyrics to the Bottlefly song and it's definitly not it. I contacted the band "leave the world" about 3 years ago and they E-mailed me the lyrics to their song "40 to 5" and they weren't it either.

Many songs that have been played on smallville aren't featured on any of the song lists on any of the websites. So it isn't odd that this one wasn't either.

It wasn't on the Zoolander soundtrack or credits. So that's why searching for them won't turn up anything.

You have to listen to the song itself by playing that smallville episode or playing the Zoolander scene I mentioned. That's the only way. (The one in zoolander doesn't have vocals)

And if you don't already know it....You'll never know it.
