It's obviously not quite the same, but as a teenager I get treated with more suspicin than I did when I was younger by security guards. I obviously don't like it, because they're pre-judging me, and that is unfair on me. ut then I also understand that you will get a higher proportion of shoplifters being teenagers

How about the thing where a woman was found on-board with matches and face cream? She was found because she was walking up and down the rows (think she had some kind of mental problem). Anyway, they stopped the plane in Boston (wrong airport) and took out all the luggage and got dogs to search it. THAT is stupid.

i'm flying to tokyo on tuesday, but to be honest i'd rather they still had the uber strict regulations because that way i'd actually feel safe. and i think virgin atlantic have a pretty good entertainment system. on the news they said that the terrorist group planned to bomb the planes, wait until the dust settles and security returns to normal, then bomb again and again, creating a consistent risk to air travel. if they reduce security now, surely they're asking for trouble? on the other hand maybe they're trying to minimise the disruptions, and hence minimise the satisfaction of the terrorists.
