What do you guys and gals think about the idea of not eating meat? I personally am against it. I love meat. I mean, I eat everything except bird, it's dry and chewy and has no taste. But seriously, what is wrong with meat? I was talking to my friend who is a vegetarian. She said it can give you aids. I proved that wrong with http://www.cdc.gov/h...ure/oi_toxo.htm. Now if that's not enough, you can buy fresh, farm raised meat too. You don't have to get industry raised meat. This takes out the cruel part of the whole deal. Because the farm raised meat, is better tasting, healthier, and the animals got to have a good, healthy, meaty, wonderful and tasty life. Then it goes to a good butcher, that does things the right way. Then we eat.

What story do they have left? Who can say that's not the right way to go? How can you be a vegetarian after that? Meat tastes fucking good! And if you see a vegetarian drinking milk, or eating eggs. Smack that bitch and scream in her/his face.

So what is your opinion?

Live and let live, it's not really an issue worth even discussing, unless you're one of those vegetarians who wants the whole world to stop eating meat. They suck.

If I were to argue for vegetarianism, I wouldn't argue health benefits (meat can easily be healthy as vegetarian can be unhealthy), or for not killing animals (if we were all vegetarian, the herds of cows, pigs, etc simply wouldn't be economically viable so would be killed off). However, there is a case for it in terms of efficiency. Eating plants is a far more efficient way of gaining nutrients, etc than via meat. Also, livestock produce a huge amount of methane as well as CO2, greenhouse gases.

Having said this, I eat meat, and will probably carry on doing so

The idea of livestock does not bother me. I ate frogs when I was on vacation in West Virginia. They were good.

I'm a vegetarian, since birth. I belong to one of those religious sections where eating meat is prohibited. Personally, I think its a load of bullshit and completely with you guys on this one..

BUT, since i haven't ever had meat, i try to stay away from it, and not experiment cuz i'm very choosy when it comes to food. maybe someday, i'll go ahead and have some.. will just have to wait till then. :rock:
