i am not vegetarian and dont plan on it, i dont eat much plants, mainly meat for me, but what i dont get, people saying they dont eat meat because animals are living things, so are plants, so you cant eat them, you are now restricted to dirt :rocksmilie: as stated before, if no one ate mean/animals then they would all become over populated and wold have to be killed anyway, which brings up another topic, what do you think about hunting? either with Rifle, Pig & knife, Hunting Bow & arrows?

i'm a big fan of meat and could never be a vegan

however, i do class it as a luxury and I think the western world would be better off to remember it is and treat it as such (i.e. limit our consumption of it), if there's any truth to the strain on our resources caused by raising animals to add meat to our diet.

Vegetarians are predominantly awkward teenage girls who are just fussy eaters in general.

I think you should have not said that.

And no, meat is not a treat, it's food, we wont run out unless mcdonalds stays in business forever.

I am vegetarian...have been since the new year. I do not do it because I love animals and whatnot. I'm not one of those weird Peta2 people...a cow is not something I am interested in saving. I do it because I want to be healthy, and it gives me motivation not to eat that greasy crap like McDonalds which are basically heart clogs in a bag.
Since going vegetarian, I have to admit I feel alot better physically and mentally. I'm not vegan, so I still get my protein from eggs and stuff...so it works. I thought it would be alot harder than it is.

I did not want you to join this culture.
So how can you be so proud?

I am not vegetarian but I have friends that are. I see nothing wrong with it but I see nothing worth gaining from it either. So, your vegetarian because you love animals? Thats great if your doing that for your own ethical reasons but you're not actually saving any animals from being slaughtered.

i dont really see how you can be against vegetarianism. against the preachy kind of holier-than-thou vegetarian, yes, but not the meat-free lifestyle itself

i was vegan for a year before i slipped into vegetarianism due to... well seflishness basically. 6 years later, and i've recently started eating a little meat again - not because i've suddenly agreed with the industry but because my pessimism has grown to the point that i doubt i'm doing any good to the supply-demand chain and probably just sending more to landfill

but in theory, i'm deffinately a meat-free fan. i'm not against nature, i'm not against eating animals in every sense, i love the taste of most meat i just hate the industry. factory farms. you can't industrially raise living, feeling animals. it's just sick and i dont want to be a part of it

my issue with vegetarianism lies in the hypocrisy of it. people dont eat meat so less animals have to die. so morally, they shouldnt eat eggs or milk so dairy cows/calves and chickens arent abused. morally too, they shouldnt eat vegetables or other plant-based food because of the harmful chemicals used and wild landscape destroyed to make space to crop them. they shouldnt breathe because it adds to CO2 emissions. so if you really care about animals and the planet, stop living. if the human population was sustainable we wouldnt have nearly as many preachy, annoying vegetarians.

i have the feeling i've gone slightly off-topic with my line of thought there.
actually, Mum, I wouldnt use that particular can of whipped cream if I were you...

oh, no reason.
