I think rock will always be better than "the new" electronic.

Some electronic music is good. Some rock is good. Some music combines both. Therefore both are good. Therefore as you haven't given me this option on the poll, I must put that both are excellent.

agree with mike, and i don't think you should rule out bands just because you consider them electronic.

the prodigy were imho the first band to combine rock with electronic with complete success. LLR will probably say it was the Happy Mondays, but it was the Prodigy's punk/rock image combined with a dance DJ that was groundbreaking in this field.

since then loads of bands such as Linkin Park use DJs to spice up their sound, and yet more play to a backing track disguised in their live sets by the presence of the kid on the decks.

The happy mondays did it in a very different way to the Prodigy and i suppose it depends what you mean by electronic because they used a lot of actual instruments its not as if they were pure synth or anything. But obviously as usual they were pioneers in this field.

I do quite liek eletronic artists. Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Aphex Twin, Daft Punk, etc. Although none of that crappy cheesy European stuff.
