ah, but do you believe in life after love?

i can feel something inside me saying "I really don't think you're strong enough, no"

anyway i'm atheist depsite a reasonably xtian upbringing. i just think scientific fact is too strong these days. the bible is obviously hugely metaphorical but i think its primary purpose was to control huge numbers of people who were likely to kick off than act as an actual creed for its authors.

Hi Adam, good to know you're an atheist ;].

Actually the Bible was probably never intended to be metaphorical at the time but science has forced christians to hold on to that weak excuse in order to continue believing in it.

thats not what atheism is.

if you're an atheist you believe in no supernatural being. believing in/worshipping satan is a twisted version of theism.

Satanists do not worship the christian 'Satan'

satanists are atheists.. but who have a very strong beleif of themself, but also a nihilistic view of mankind. they control their life.

Satan represents indulgence, vital existance, wisom - not dreams, vengence - not turning away and resposibility of our own actions.

satanism is rubbish. its pure egotism, and is basically just an excuse to behave inhumanly.

why is it inhuman to follow natural insticts?

and all ovious morals still apply to satanists. they dont do anything to anybody that they wouldnt want or expect to be done to themselves.

all the media and hype surrounding satanic rituals and torture are from a different satanic cult alltogether. Im talking about 'LaVey' Satanism... though its only the ideas i agree with. Hence i dont actually call myself a Satanist.

lavey encouraged girls to have sex with goats and slit their throats at the moment of ejaculation. no matter how consenting they were to this, i find it inhuman and to be frank inexcusable.

satanism encourages to endulge your own desires without consideration of consequence or others, and i find that wrong as humanity is a social race and such things are animalistic and it is a deliberate choice to ignore the base instinct humans have to work together.

LaVey was mostly an idiot and the majority of the Satanic Bible is for show.. no satanist follows it blindly and anyone would have to be pretty twisted to agree with anything like that.

Modern Satanism is based around the nine satanic statements. called 'Lavey' satanism purely because he came up with them.

I never said anything about having no consideration for others.. infact satanism promotes responsibility, and how your actions affect other people is part of that.

instict does not stop anyone from working together.. infact our instinct is to rely on others, humans are quite colonial animals. And yes we may be a social race but we were animals first.

its egotism, which isn't a healthy approach to life. anyone with any sense wouldn't associate themselves with satanism no matter how much of a 'bad rap' it gets. its nonsense.

christianity isn't based upon egotism. if followed properly its a brilliant moral code and invaluable way to help people get along etc.

satanism is a denial of all that. it says morals are nothing more than an illusion. satanism cannot possibly help mankind and appeals only to the selfish.

i meant the last two words! :)

maybe i am selfish, maybe i am egotistic. But i want to suceed in life.. i want to be happy. Im still a nice person.. i still help people out.. im still involved in charity.. but what i am aiming for in life is not to please someone else, i dont see the point, i aim to please myself.

youre probably right.. it cant help mankind, thats why i dont tell people 'satanism is the way forward' or any of that crap.. but its helps me.

and no worries.. arguments seem to follow me around :P

I didn't think satanists actually worship satan, and it doesn't seem to bad , apart from the idiots who go around purposely being pricks/fucking goats etc

I don't really think there's any point in being satanist. If you don't believe in god or whatever, then there's no point in following other people's rules or guidelines - just follow your own

i love people who say hell would be like heaven to me

because they're stupid

because then it wouldn't be hell and therefore that's not where they'd be

they'd probably end up in a place where you get hugged by super friendly bunnies all day long

Yeah ive always wondered that. If your a satanist is heaven your hell and vice versa?

Also i think everyone is actually egotistical its just human nature when it comes down to it. I can easily see both your points.

Not a big fan of any organised religion really. They just take money off people and cause trouble. As moral codes are they really necessary and do they work. I don't kill or rape people (contrary to popular belief) because i know thats the wrong thing to do as is with most genuinely good people not because the church or anyone else told me not to.

Forgone Conclusion.. there is no rules or guidelines in Satanism, just a book for people to use as they please. The point.. is to have one simple word to descride your views!

If youre a Satanist there is no heaven and hell, as there is no afterlife. Death is the end.

Though personally.. the thought of eternal life is pretty 'hellish' wherever it would be!
