Q is normally pretty good - tends to play a mix of music which is nice to see. Not that I watch much music TV, cos I don't have it at home and they set me 5000 fucking words worth of essays a week here plus problem sheets, slave-drivers that they are...

I think Music TV has fallen in importance for people listening out for new bands in the last few years. I ocasionally have it on to see if any decent new videos are non tho, when i do i usually start with MTV2 then flick around from there.

I don't have sky, but when i'm at my mates i usually go for MTV 2 first. I think it really depends what mood you're in tbh

Aah, sorry. <_<

Having got Sky a year or so back, I was utterly delirious to see a wide range of music channels available for me to watch.

At first I mainly stuck around Kerrang, as it was the one I recognised from the magazine, then I discovered MTV2, what with all the Jackass, Dirty Sanchez type shows etc to go with the music. The Amp, when it first came out, instantly became my favourite, with the stuff being played very similar to my likes. Recently, it became crap, so I went back to MTV2, before VH2 came out of nowhere to becoming the best watch, ith all my favourites being played regularly. Scuzz isn't really my type of music, too screamy and punky for my liking, Q only occasionally has good songs, and MTV2 seems to concentrate far too much on NME awards week nowadays.

So to finish this all off, it's VH2 for me.
This is the modern way.

Well, from first view, the excitement for music channels and radios is fanatical, then on realisation that the majority of them are complete rubbish, it becomes quite a downheartening sensation.. so...

I occasionally watch;
Kerrang - they have a mix of rock, metal and indie.. it's just a downfall when they start playing Eminem..
Q - Plays a good mix of music, but too much pop for my liking
Scuzz - Too emo/screamo for me..
The Amp - Tends to play 'not my style'
Mtv 2 - Good to watch for the music and programmes. Viva la Bam makes me laugh, and Commercial Free in the mornings cheers me up
VH2 - Makes me groove. They play everything from The Smiths to The Verve to Red Hot Chilis. <_< If you ask me, they have a good, wide range of indie/alternative and rock.

All the others are plagued by that pop/rap/dance crap. Bahh, give me VH2, I'll be occupied for a few hours :)

good thing to see with Scuzz is it recognises it is not the premier choice and plays on the underground theme. they allow unsigned bands to show videos and play lesser known stuff. this can only be good for the music scene (even if the choons are a bit too hardcore for me).

props to Murdoch & Co.

FUSE is about 90% rock, and the rest is usually hip-hop
