Voodoo Six are a London based five piece English rock band formed by bassist Tony Newton and ex-guitarist Richie Faulkner in the summer of 2003. In 2005 they supported British heavy metal band Iron Maiden at the Hammersmith Apollo and feature former members of Dirty Deeds. In 2006 they played in the Download Festival in Donnington and in Dublin. Voodoo Six have also played alongside bands like Metallica, Rammstien, In Flames and Soulfly at festivals in Germany. Singer Henry Rundell has been described as "the best voice to come out of the British music scene in the last ten years."
Henry Rundell - vox, Matt Pearce - guitar, Chris Jones - guitar,
Tony Newton - bass, Dave Cavill (Grav) - drums
In voodoo tarot, the sixth card is Legba (the devil); the keeper of the crossroads between the worlds, the god who opens the door to the spiritual world. Legab makes the sixth member of the band
On the subject of the single Faith, mainman Tony Newton had this to say: -
"We are brought up to trust but eventually we lose faith in many of the things around us. We realise that much of what we see and hear are lies disguised as the truth. We have all had our faith tested - whether it be by government/religion/friends/family - but the most important thing is to never lose faith in yourself. 'This soul is not for sale'."
Voodoo Six supported Tygers of Pang Tang and Blaze bayley in April and May 2008.
Anyway it's not for me to tell you all about them, it's for you to discover them, enjoy them and show support for who i think is responsible for restoring Faith in British Metal once again...
