Were YOU thinking "wow it looks so much cooler when you spell 'were' as 'where'"?

I hate posts which pick up on other peoples' spelling/grammar/punctuation. Everyone gets it wrong sometimes.

PS Me loving the Rahpsody, favourite tunes being 'Dargor, Shadowlord of the Black Mount' and 'Village of Dwarves' for the pipes alone.

Yeah i agree. This isn't the queen's english of the year contest. Let's all play nicely children its the opinion and how its expressed that matters not how its written.

Anyway back on to rhapsody.....

Personally I think Power Metal is so cheesy that it should be illegal. Really not my thing and I don't understand how can anyone get absorved by this style, everything it explores (musically and lyrically) is explored better in other styles. Anyway, just my own taste and opinion, Kamelot, for example, can actually be quite interesting sometimes.

fair enough, power metal is cheesy. i can see how some people may be put off. but i do think that melodic vocals offer so much more than cookie monster vocals or screaming. i cant listen to too much of that, a lot of the music starts to sound very similar.
as far as non-melodic vocals go, the only bands i listen to are children of bodom and pantera. i do love them both though.

i personally love cheese. it has to be decent cheese though.

I understand, but even so I think the best vocalists in melodic Metal aren't in Power Metal bands but in Prog or Heavy Metal bands.

Decent cheese? As opposed to what, pornographic cheese? Kidding :P
