her name was lola she was a showgirl
na my case is rested as it is won, surely only a fool or a terrorist would go against my findings.tell me what the bitter taste of defeat is like, for i can taste only the sweetness of victory.abuse me more to your folly as it only strengthens my resolve, you weak inept cretinous pondlife

i will say no more on the matter until I see fit, rather like the lord of the manor throwing scraps to the uneducated peasants.now scurry away to your inadequate brothels of lower learning. for you cease to amuse me

Hey, i met her down a club in old soho, where you drink champagne and it tastes just like coca-cola

He took me to the future in the flux thing, and I saw everything
Boy bands, and another one, and another one, and another one
Triple breasted women swim around town, totally naked

My favourite lyrics are from Neal Morse on his solo cd. The song is called The angels will remember.

It is all about having lost his love and when he dies he hopes the angels help them get back together again

Here is the chorus.

I hope when I die I can somehow still be with you
And relive right now, that's all I really want to do
Time forgets when we were together, I hope the angels will remember !! :rocksmilie:

A truly great song !!

Placebo - without you Im nothing

Quote

Strange infatuation seems to grace the evening tide.
I値l take it by your side.
Such imagination seems to help the feeling slide.
I値l take it by your side.
Instant correlation sucks and breeds a pack of lies.
I値l take it by your side.
Oversaturation curls the skin and tans the hide.
I値l take it by your side.

Tick - tock x3
Tick - tick - tick - tick - tick - tock

I知 unclean, a libertine
And every time you vent your spleen,
I seem to lose the power of speech,
Your slipping slowly from my reach.
You grow me like an evergreen,
You never see the lonely me at all

I...
Take the plan, spin it sideways.
I...
Fall.
Without you, I知 nothing.
Without you, I知 nothing.
Without you, I知 nothing.
Take the plan, spin it sideways.
Without you, I知 nothing at all.

I'd like to post some Hendrix or some Led Zep because I know all the lyrics off by heart, but then again, the lyrics are usually a bit too abstract to belong in this thread at all!

I quite like this ones too:

Death - A Moment Of Clarity

I would describe it as an invisible darkness
casting a shadow, a blinding black
guarded by hope, my soul is kept from
the bloody claws.

Look beyond, what vision lets me see
time after time, unneeded misery
holding tight to my dreams
I own no price for you
I grip them tight and hope for sight.

Open my eyes wide to see a moment of clarity
confusion gone, it's in your hands
your turn to ask why.

Life is like a mystery
with many clues, but with few anwers
to tell us what it is that we can do to look
for messages that keep us from the truth

Dark Tranquillity - Final Resistence

Disaffected, left to internal struggle
let ring with the cries of disaccord
They told of outposts firm as trees
Whispers laid no basis for
the plunge to the chasm depths
Seen none, nor felt the safety
Perimeter alarm

I see the bearings of disaster

What can you tell me of the inside
Is it as bright as all can see?

To make a chemical stand
a final front to the days ahead
In attempt to tame their mineral estrangement
Smothered by the numeral that
haunts each waking day

Request for countertmeasures
to state claim of this my cavern
None to take and none be given
as the window breaks to black
A process left to solitude
is the action left undone
Answers left to echo
in the silent halls of none

Cast down the hopes and aspirations
Shut the windows tight
Everybody said No
Reset your fears and good intentions
Barred up for life
Everybody said No

This is the final resistance
Create a sense of purpose
Around which you base your faith
The doubt that haunts your skin
An itch that will linger on forever

Dark Tranquillity - Out Of Nothing

Quote

cease this long, long rest
wake and risk a foul weakness to live
when it all comes down
watch the smoke and bury the past again
sit and think what will come
raise your fears and cast them all away
Neurosis - Away

Quote

His time there so long
His fingers trace the endless walls he knew so well
And there the breaths were short and hard and thick with salt
And in this place he always knew he'd wake alone

Hands clutch in panic
In this place he built of sand homes that caved
The walls were weak with salty tears
Through the cracks in these walls he saw the sun

The sun dripped through the cracks and died
Shadows managed to betray

Like liquid was the sadness
Until into the light he stepped

In this truth he knew himself to be
From sinking sands he stepped into lights embrace

"Flatlands stand up there as leaders of the pack" - Ninehertz

AOTEA - Apocalypse in Transmetropolita
"Mike Patton's head on a bad acid trip" - Rock-a-Rolla
