best song of 2004: Snow Patrol - Spitting Games (possibly - I'll have to mull it over)

I think Snow Patrol are also great writers, although Spitting Games is a bit too poppy and overplayed for my liking, I much prefer Run. Their earlier stuff is often overlooked as well, including the track 'Ask Me How I Am' (or something like that) which must be about 3 or so years old now.

From their back catalogue (geddit off me on itunes) i recommend 'Starfighter Pilot' off 'Songs for Polarbears'; NYC, off teh same album (its a good album that grows on you fast)
the guitar in 'velocity girl' is nice, but the song is average
Their other album, 'even when it's over we still have to clear up' is probably the inferior sibling, despite (i think) it being the eldest. Some good tracks on it though

Nah, Franz are still amazing, every song on that album is brilliant and you can listen through without getting bored, no problems. Also, I've heard that Snow Patrol suck live, because the lead singer is all over the place. Anyone else heard this?

I've seen a few videos from gigs and I have to agree, the lead singer is a bit off. The rest of the band is pretty good though

Surely that's not even their best song?
All These Things That I've Done, Mr.Brightside, Indie Rock'n'Roll; hell most the songs on Hot Fuss all have a superior tune and more meaningful and therefore superior lyrical prowess.
Somebody Told Me is so ghey it deserves to be skipped.
