I think we all know the answer to this question and they come from sunny Manchester. They are still making absolutely amazing music unlike some other bands.........

Blur any day of the week. They're much more innovative, and have a greater breadth stylistically than Oasis, who are pretty much a one trick pony.

I really like Blur, but you just can't beat those first two Oasis albums for downright good choons (even if half of them were nicked off Lennon).

Blur. Better vocals, catchier songs and a band with sense of humour.

I've voted Oasis simply because their music was the soundtrack to the 90's for me. Blur didn't do anything for me until the late 90's although I have to admit I prefer their new stuff to the last couple of Oasis albums.

C'mon bradley, i would'nt even recognise those two as real genres. They are both most definately indie-pop. Also Oasis are just so much better than Blur just by how they can keep churning out amazing albums even today. Blur can't shit an album. Where are they now? Probably serving me in McDonalds. In fact i'm sure Alex James works in the kitchen at pizza hut. And the less said about 13 the better.

As for being a band with a sense of humour, well they made me laugh. I can't name more than 3 tracks they did that were any good. As for graham coxon his sense of humour was removed at birth. Its so difficult to listen to the boring bastard. Just listen to the stuff the gallagher brothers come out with. That is true northern wit.

IMHO Blur have maybe two classic songs...Oasis on the other hand:

Personally I reckon EVERY track on Morning Glory is a classic (ok maybe 2/3 exceptions) and some of the tracks on Be Here Now (specifically D'You Know What I Mean) are even better...

Pretty much every single Oasis single and sounded the same, and none of the songs have been especially stand-out. Also, the Gallghers are a couple of twat face monkey boys who go around acting like complete pillocks (that applies more so to one of them)

As for blur, they give far wider variety. Tender, Song 2, Out of time, and parklife are all very different songs, but all great. Then theydd've got other greats such as coffee and tv, there's no other way, girls and boys, plus many more. I don't know how you can say 'two classic songs' that's crap.

As for LLR's comment, where are they now? Well Graham Coxon has released a couple of pretty good singles recently - Bitter sweet bundle and freaking out. There's also Gorrilaz who i believe recently released a new album. So there are couple of examples of where they are. Now where are Oasis? In the same band, spewing out the same song, over, and over again

OK I stand corrected (said the man in the orthopaedic shoes!!!1) THREE classic songs - Song 2, Pariklife, Coffee and TV.

Personally I think Tender is shite...

Oasis' singles don't all sound the same (to me anyway...) and to be honest I can't think up an argument to counter yours...

No graham coxon released one acceptable single and a dire album. Also the other day i tried to by tickets for blurs massive sell out tour of the UK in the summer as well as them filling Madison Square Gardens in a about half an hour..........Oh no wait that was Oasis.
Also usually i would say Gorillaz are shit. As well as being illiterate and poorly drawn there album was hardly amazing but was ok i suppose. Their new soon to be released album however is rumoured to feature guest vocalist Shaun William Ryder in all his human glory not in animated form so therefore it will be the best thing since sliced breasts.

I thought Gorillaz were ok actually (Ed Case remix of Clint Eastwood for example) but other bands do the rap/electronic crossover better.

Freakin' Out is, however, the ONLY good track off Coxon's album.

Oasis are blatantly better anyway, just for writing feelgood choons.

I quite liked Graham Coxons last album and it was a big improvement on his previous 2. Also quite like Gorillaz new single although not sure how much creative input Damon had in that.

Lord Love Rocket, cheers for reminding me how quick the Oasis gigs sold out.... I spent ages the other day trying to buy them!!!! The only chance I have is on ebay!!!

OK OK so their songs are better, but they're just such cunts!! Liam Gallagher has the highest arrogance:talent ratio I've ever seen, considering that he can't sing and the songs he writes smell like a cat litter tray. AND he's crap at the tambourine...

yeah but i dont really care about the arrogance to talent ratio. lenny kravitz is one of my favourite guitarists, even though his not inconsiderable talent is arguably countered out by the fact he acts like a prize cunt.
