Tony Iommi, the legendary Black Sabbath guitarist, will release his new album Fused on July 12, 2005, via Sanctuary Records. Joining Iommi is former Deep Purple vocalist/bassist Glenn Hughes and former John Mellencamp drummer Kenny Aronoff, who has also played sessions with the likes of the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Rod Stewart, Alice Cooper, Bob Seger, Lynyrd Skynyrd and countless others. The trio will hit the road to promote Fused later this year after Black Sabbath finishes headlining the 10th anniversary Ozzfest tour.

Iommi's lethal guitar crunch leads the charge. Hughes truly pushes himself to the edge and adjusts his voice to fit the overall direction of each song while simultaneously propelling the rhythm with his pounding bass guitar. The volcanic thunder Aronoff unleashes from his drums sounds like nothing he has done before. Bob Marlette's sparkling, crisp production results in a hard-hitting, modern, in-your-face sound.

i must admit i was never really a sabbath or deep purple fan...i think the bands that followed them were more exciting (even if sabbath did create the genre or whatever). as such, i think its interesting, but i'm not exactly on the edge of my seat waiting for iommi's stuff.

what is cool is motley crue's resurrection! but their gig is the night before my exams start. grrr.

I like DP (burm, smoke on the water, etc), but i'm not really a fan of BS. Ozzy's voice just anoys me
"You and Wilson have my skills, Mr Hayden. In return, I received a taste for Radiohead and an encyclopedic knowledge of pornographic knock-knock jokes. Yes, I'd like to switch back if possible"

you know his brain is so messed up from all the drugs he has to read the words off a teleprompter for paranoid every time he sings it, even though he's sung it publicly more than 15 000 times?

i am trivia king.

Curtis, also there is non-Ozzy BS you know...
Though I agree Ozzy's voice pisses me off, but I like him for helping put Britain in the legend scene.

ozzy's voice is most 'annoying' (although i personally dont find it that annoying) in black sabbath. if you listen to his solo albums, especially the later albums, i think you'll find he actually doesnt have a bad voice. check out perry mason, its one of my favourite songs.
his voice is only good in the studio though. live, its a different story.

black sabbath with tony martin seems very good from what ive heard.. he has a great voice, check out I Witness on cross purposes. it rocks very hard, although quite different from older sabbath.

black sabbath with ronnie james dio seems ok.. but i havent heard enough to be able to comment.

No, I just can't stand his voice, don;t care about hsi singing ability and whatnot. It's just soooo damn annoying. Almost as bad as the Type O Negative guy's vocals which are as bad as nails on a board, even though they sound nothing like that.
