If last year’s duet with daughter Kelly wasn’t enough of an Ozzy Osbourne fix for you, then maybe it’ll cheer you up to know the singer has started working on a new solo release.
According to Billboard.com, his wife Sharon says Ozzy is working on a new record that will be out early next year.
Osbourne may be in the studio, but don’t get your hopes up for new Black Sabbath recordings. Ozzy says there’s no way they would record new work just for the sake of making money.
On March 22 a four-disc box set of Osbourne’s work will hit stores. The set, entitled Prince Of Darkness, will feature 51 songs and if you pick up the set early you may get a free ticket to this year’s Ozzfest. Inside a bunch of limited edition sets will be a coupon to buy one ticket, get one free for Ozzfest 2005.
As for this year’s show, it’s Ozzfest’s tenth anniversary and they are planning a big one in celebration. Sharon posted a message on the concert’s site saying, "I'm most proud of the success of Ozzfest. Everyone said it would never happen and 10 years later we are still in business."
Once again, Ozzfest is skipping Canada, but since we know some of you diehards will drive down to catch the show, here is the line-up for this year’s tour. There is still one more band announcement to come for the main stage line-up.
