Revellers attending this year’s Glastonbury festival will be able to party all through the night, to music cranked up to ear-bleeding levels-without losing their neighbours any sleep.

The legendary festival will play host to a “Silent Disco”, in an effort by organisers to abide by obligatory noise restrictions.

After the noise curfew is enforced, music will be listened to through supplied headphones to fest-goers, instead of speakers.

The festival organiser’s daughter, Emily Eavis, came up with the idea.

given it sold 120,000 tickets in about 3 hours, I'd be willing to bet some people are!

how you dare take that tone of voice with your mother, who after all bore you into this world, is quite beyond me, Phillippe.

whilst you bore me even today :P

back on topic... this will surely be one of the strangest sights ever seen; bunch of ravers going wild despite there being no music :D

it would be hilarious if someone set up a pirate radio station on the same frequency and pumped porno over the airwaves :D

does anyone know the logistics of this? are they expecting people to give the phones back?

also i would imagine there will be a melancholy sound of people singing along out loud despite the phones surely?

You must be joking. The sotne roses are one of the greatest bands of all time. There has been much talk about them reforming but i'm not sure in what context. The fall out they had was massive.

in the end, The Killers replaced Kylie. Probably a more popular decision than a reformed, shite and out of practice Stone Roses...

Stone roses are definately overrated. By LLR at least
"You and Wilson have my skills, Mr Hayden. In return, I received a taste for Radiohead and an encyclopedic knowledge of pornographic knock-knock jokes. Yes, I'd like to switch back if possible"
